My 2 brothers, sister and I grew up in Philadelphia in a typical Irish-German-Italian, upper-lower-class, Catholic, Philly row-home home. Dad was a Philly cop (and a good one) and Mom worked at Sears to make ends meet.

From the time I was a small child, I was fascinated with being a priest. I eventually entered the St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia where I studied for 6 years. My undergrad degree is from St. Charles Borromeo.
A short time after, that I entered the Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, but left before taking my first vows.
I obtained a Master's Degree in Organization Development from Antioch University and began a successful career as a human resources executive for companies ranging from small entrepreneurial startups, to global Fortune 300 tech firms. I am well known in the industry as a thought leader and change agent who is expert at building engaged cultures, effective leaders, market-facing capabilities and human capital strategies.
I am also an openly gay man who has been active in the field of gay rights for decades. I am married to my incredible partner, Tony of 26 years.
We have been active members of Dignity USA, the largest and oldest community of LGBTQi Catholics.
Late in 2017, I answered the call and I was at long last ordained a Deacon in May of 2018, and a priest on April 6th, 2019 as part of an independent denomination with which I am no longer affiliated.
I am now the pastor of Our Lady, Undoer of Knots Inclusive Catholic Community. OLUK ICC is a parish within the Progressive Catholic Church.

As a human capital professional I am extremely skilled in a number of areas and have a number of tools I can bring to the table to help. Specifically I can also help with:
Let's talk about whatever is on your mind and see if God can open a path forward.
One of the joys of being a priest is that one is ordained to preach the Word of God. I try to fulfill that duty by relying on my training and the Spirit to uncover the theology of the scriptural text and then find ways to apply its lessons to every day life.

To show us the mission granted to the Virgin Mary by Her Son, an unknown artist painted Mary Undoer of Knots with great grace.
Since 1700, his painting has been venerated in the Church of St. Peter in Perlack, Germany. It was originally inspired by a meditation of Saint Irenaeus (Bishop of Lyon and martyred in 202) based on the parallel made by Saint Paul between Adam and Christ. Saint Irenaeus, in turn, made a comparison between Eve and Mary, saying:
"Eve, by her disobedience, tied the knot of disgrace for the human race; whereas Mary, by her obedience, undid it".
While he was a student in Austria, Pope Francis stumbled upon this devotion and has promoted it ever since.
But what are these knots?
They are the problems and struggles we face for which we do not see any solution. Knots of discord in your family, lack of understanding between parents and children, disrespect, violence, the knots of deep hurts between husband and wife, the absence of peace and joy at home. They are also the knots of anguish and despair of separated couples, the dissolution of the family, the knots of a drug addict son or daughter, sick or separated from home or God, knots of alcoholism, depression, unemployment, fear, drowning in debt and so on.
We all have problems at work and in our social lives.
And then there are the BIG issues facing the world: world hunger, war, global warming, gun violence, hatred, bigotry, injustice, millions in need,
Ah, the knots of our life! How they suffocate the soul, beat us down and betray the heart’s joy and separate us from God.
We want Mary to be an active member of our parish community to teach us to pray to her Son and to ask her to intervene with her special grace as she can.
Our community meets weekly at 6:00 PM for Mass our church. We share a beautiful church with St Bartholomews Episcopal Church at 4711 Edmondston Ave, Baltimore MD
